• You can be based in other areas but will need to relocate to Melbourne for the first 2 years of your employment and training.
• $60-80,000 base + super + km reimbursement for own car travel. 
• Higher salary if you are a senior consultant
• Paid personal time travel to customer sites. Potentially +10% of base salary.

The job:

• Multiple full time, permanent, long term careers available

• Provide after sales LIMS implementation and ongoing support
• Programming to customise the software to each specific laboratory requirements  
• This is an exciting role with varied responsibilities including travel throughout Australia and NZ   
• Opportunities for international travel will also arise
• Analyse and document customer requirements and business process
• Translate business requirement to applications’ functional requirement
• Configure the LIMS solution to meet the customer requirements
• Deliver training courses to the customer project team
• Assist customers with their validation and testing stages appropriate to their industry
• Working with minimal supervision and providing direction to customers
• Provide excellence in customer service
• Travel and who you report to will depend on specific projects
• You will thrive working across the full lifecycle of the implementation after the user requirements have been provided
• You will be the hands-on and working closely with the client through implementation, configuration, testing, documenting, training and support
• Travel to the client site which will be part of your position description thus this role has wide variety rather than being purely an office job
• Your title will be Associate or Senior Consultant depending on your experience.

You:

• Have ideally worked in a laboratory and/or have experience or aptitude in computer programming 
• Previous LIMS or consultancy experience would be beneficial is highly desirable
• At least 5 years as a LIMS Administrator or technical consulting type role is ideal
• Tertiary qualification in Science, Engineering and/or Information Technology
• Ideal background in Technical Business Analyst / Process Engineer
• Programming in a computer language
• Understanding of database and structured query language
• Knowledge in laboratory or Quality Control processes
• Experience with delivering a LIMS
• Excellent communication (both written and verbal) in English
• Able to make technical presentations suitable to a wide variety of audiences 
• High customer service focus
• Friendly and helpful attitude
• Current drivers licence and own transport
• Ability to travel as part of your job. Up to a week at a time. Up to 20 trips a year
• As you may be going on site to work sites with drug and alcohol testing requirements you will need to meet these requirements
• Professional personal presentation
