Reporting to the Development Manager, the Web Developer will contribute to the day to day frontend/backend development efforts of our Pearson Qualifications products. You will be responsible for consolidating and aligning environments whilst working towards becoming the SME in this area.
You will also be responsible for defining processes, contributing to technical solution designs, participating in Agile Scrum based Software development, authoring documentation, unit test case management and enabling defect tracking.
Based in Nunawading you will have access to free parking and/or access to 2 train stations close by. Perfect for missing the CBD commute!
Skills and Experience:
- Strong front-end development skills (HTML5, CSS, Javascript)
- Thorough knowledge on RESTful APIs, Web Security, SQL Server, Stored Procedures, Code Versioning, CI/CD and Test Coverage
- Practical understanding of Agile and SCRUM methodology
- Able to collaboratively work with other team members and contribute constructively
- Strong analytical, problem solving skills and technical troubleshooting
- Test Driven Development and experience with Agile methodology, AWS or equivalent cloud technology is preferred but not essential as is experience with MEAN stack, integration and containerization.
