Your role as the Business Analyst will be to Identify, analyse and document current state and future state business process and requirements within a large Information Management (IM)/Information Communication Technology (ICT) environment, to ensure the delivery of valued, integrated and effective business solutions to program/project(s).

The key accountabilities of the role are:

  • Assist with the collation and analysis of “As Is” and “To Be” business process models using approved methods and tools;
  • Assist with the development of business and software requirements specifications for IM/ICT projects, ensuring traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle;
  • Liaise with teams to ensure business/software requirements are incorporated and fit for purpose. Assist with stakeholder engagement, assessment and the development of a stakeholder matrix, and ongoing stakeholder management; and
  • Interpret business and user requirements and research possible application of the information systems solution to optimise local and enterprise-wide business outputs.

Mandatory Qualifications / Professional Registration

No formal qualification are required for this position however experience in the following would be highly desirable:

  • Service to Server. Microsoft SQL Service;
  • BI development skills in QlikView/QlikSense (preferable); and
  • Data Modelling and analytics.

You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge and experience. Within the context of the responsibilities described above under ‘About this role’, the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Experience performing or assisting with business analysis activities on IM/OCT program/projects(s), preferably in the health care industry;
  • Knowledge and ability to apply business process modelling techniques, such as ‘As-Is” and “To-Be” business process models;
  • Knowledge in and ability to develop business and software requirement specifications;
  • Experience in researching, analysing and documenting business requirement specifications and software requirement specifications;
  • Experience in developing quality written analysis documentation;
  • Proven effective written and oral communication skills for use in a program/project environment; and
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment developing effective working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
