Data#3 has a requirement for an experienced Desktop Support Technician to join our Managed Serviced Team as a FIFO Field Support Engineer.
The purpose of the role is to provide onsite level 2 face-to-face support to our pipeline construction customer.
As well as having well-rounded IT support skills, coupled with experience of supporting users, it is essential that all applicants have excellent communication skills, are well-presented and have strong customer service skills
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide a consistently high level of on-site technical support to end users
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems effectively and professionally, including timely closure or escalation of support calls as necessary.
- Ensure accurate & timely entry of data and content (Service Desk Tickets & Service Orders).
- Assist in providing improvements to policies and procedures in relation to the Service Desk operations and your role specifically.
- Assist in ensuring relevant new knowledge is populated within the system promptly, and ensure existing technical documentation is kept up to date.
- Assist in project work at a level appropriate to skill-set.
- Build strong business relationships with all colleagues, both in and outside of the Service Desk team.
Skills Required:
- Sound technical understanding and experience in desk-side IT support
- Windows 7, 8 and 10 support experience
- MS Office 2010 and Office 365 support experience
- Active Directory support experience
- Extensive PC hardware support experience
- Configuration and troubleshooting skills
- Experience working in an ITIL aligned environment
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage competing priorities and workloads with a high degree of proficiency.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of problems and work effectively to find solutions.
- Advanced organisational skills & proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Current Australian Drivers License
