Our client, a large and reputable Government Department based in Sydney's CBD, is currently in the midst of a large IT Infrastructure Project and requires an experienced Technical Project Manager on an initial 6 month contract to assist its completion. The role is available for an immediate start and will be working full-time hours over the initial 6 month period.

Role Requirements:

• 5+ years' previous experience as an IT Infrastructure Project Manager
• Proven project delivery experience relating to core IT infrastructure projects (including build and migration projects)
• Experience managing technical deliverables from numerous vendors (including design documentation, build and implementation, test planning, migration planning, installation & commissioning and decommissioning)
• Proven experience managing end-to-end delivery with a particular focus on stakeholder management, change management & project governance, risk and issues
• Strong multi-vendor / partner management experience
• Strong understanding in core PMBOK and/or Prince2 competencies with a focus on managing time, cost & scope, stakeholders, governance & communication, risks and quality
• Proven experience being able to deliver autonomously and to tight timeframes
• Strong ability to build relationships with Government agencies and project stakeholders
• Strong conflict management skills
