About the Role

 

We are currently seeking an Enterprise Architect to join our highly successful and growing Digital Advisory team. This is a great opportunity to work across a variety of projects in the digital space and be part of one of Australian's leading and well established consulting organisations. This role is a Permanent position that would be ideal for an experienced Solution Architect with strong exposure to EA projects and concepts or an up and coming Enterprise Architect looking to build his profile in a consulting environment and looking to grow within an organisation.

 

Duties

 

• Provide high level service to clients utilising analytical and communication skills to meet the assignment and client objectives within the agreed budget and timeframe.
• Evaluate customer’s business needs with input to strategic planning of business systems and directions.
• Identify client organisation’s strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement.
• Develop architectural representations to communicate an understanding of organisations and their IT environment, what they do, and where they need to go.
• Apply a structured architecture approach and methodology for capturing the key views of the enterprise.
• Develop Enterprise Architecture Roadmaps, Processes, Maturity Models and Strategies for clients.
• Socialize the Enterprise Architecture Framework with the client Executive and Business Managers.
• Assist clients in the definition and development of key architectural processes such as those to support  Enterprise Architecture governance standards and processes.
• Actively participate in Pre-Sales functions (attending meetings, delivering presentations estimating effort and writing tender responses and proposals).
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is achieved across all deliverables within the service offerings and method assigned.

 

 

Skills & Experience

 

 

To be successful in this role, you will have the following experience, qualities and skills:

• Strong work experience in business or information technology, IT systems, systems design, architecture with experience in a consulting or IT services organisation.
• Experience in the facilitation of groups during strategic IT planning and design activities.
• Experience in developing future state architectures from a business and requirements driven approach.
• Extensive experience in successfully delivering large scale IT projects including demonstrated experience in the application of the Enterprise Architecture discipline including common patterns and techniques used in technology areas such as transitioning to the Cloud; adopting Agile or DevOps practices; designing overall architectures for component based/ service-oriented architecture and system implementations.
• Must have a consulting background, preferably with one of the top 4.
• Qualifications in and experience with recognised Enterprise Architecture Frameworks such as TOGAF, FEAF or Zachman.
• Solid understanding of the separation of concerns between the different views of Enterprise Architecture (i.e. Business, Information, Application & Technology, etc.).
• Specialist knowledge of at least one industry or segment, coupled with strong analytical skills.
• Understand business/organisation/marketing context of business solutions.
• Ability to develop conceptual models along with accompanied architecture vision and communicate them in both business and technology contexts to meet the client objectives. The vision needs to consider scope, outcomes, practicality, business benefits, fit for purpose, budget and timeframe.
• Able to apply understanding of project lifecycles to advise and guide the structure and make-up of projects, together with the ability to strategize, manage and lead architecture projects and work-streams. 
• Able to contribute in a number of areas outside of specialty.
• Can adapt and apply existing techniques and methodologies to new uses.
• Very high level of liaison, communication (oral and written), negotiation, consultation, conflict resolution, change management, and report and documentation writing skills.
• Able to communicate and present to executives and senior management.
• Solid understanding and use of applicable notations (UML, etc).
