Our client is a leading telecommunications infrastructure specialist and has been winning new projects in Australia. As part of their continued growth and success, they are currently seeking a multifaceted program/project finance professional with a unique combination of Telco/IT environment business experience with a solid financial awareness.
You will be responsible for the support of end‐to‐end delivery of projects, and the financial preparation and administration of the projects. Managing project financial deadlines and supplier/customer process and billing milestones.
Your key responsibilties would include:
- Generate, record and maintain the Purchase Orders across all projects.
- Generate month end financial reporting including billings, monthly accruals and WIP reporting.
- Consistently updating/maintaining project schedules/planning with forecast, actuals and tracking milestones
for changes to the critical path and comparing against baselines - Closing budgets upon a project completion.
- To ensure the timely invoicing of projects’ billing milestones.
- Provide project financial analysis; alerting relevant parties to any perceived cost or schedule overrun. Secure relevant approval for payment and allocating expenditure to the correct budget account.
- Organise payment of contractor invoices.
- Coordinate and contribute to regular internal and customer meetings. Ensure accurate documentation and record keeping of the projects is maintained.
- Serve as the single point of contact for escalations for vendors or customer in the post sales activities.
In order to be successful in the role, you would have:
- Minimum 3 years’ exposure to project finance.
- Demonstrated experience in reporting, scheduling and milestone tracking techniques within a project or PMO environment.
- Exceptional customer service and administration skills.
- Advanced MS Excel skills, including use of complex formulae and macros.
- Excellent financial acumen.
- Methodical and well organised.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Australian Residency.
