The opportunity

Our client is a leading Australian Banking and Financial services organisation that is currently on the lookout for an experienced Analyst Programmer to join their wholesale banking development team.

This is a great permanent opportunity that offers on the job training on a wholesale banking trading platform.

The ideal candidate would be someone who posses a strong technical understanding of programming, SDLC, systems design and someone with a background in both the analysis and development of a large and small software changes on a platform/applications.

Responsibilities will include:

Translating requirements to technical solutions as they relate to the platform
Developing high quality software
Supporting change through the SDLC all the way to production
Supporting other team members to ensure high quality software is delivered into production
Improving overall software development processes to allow the team to deliver more, faster & to a higher level of quality

To be considered you must have:

Experience working with a trading platform highly regarded
Demonstrated extensive development experience in Java, C++ or C
Large vendor platform integration & customisation experience
Experience working in an agile development environment
SQL and scripting in a Unix environment
