We are looking for an experienced SQL Server database developer to create, and modify, database code, to support our company's systems. You will be responsible for creating, and modifying database structures, and writing code, for Microsoft SQL Server database instances.
As a part of our Enterprise Development Group, you will collaborate with developers, and business stakeholders, to build stable, well-structured database applications, and write efficient code.
Your purpose
- Work with the Database Development Team Leader to design databases for in-house applications, and to support business processes.
- Create database code to support changes to existing business processes and applications.
- Produce adequate documentation to ensure business continuity processes are de-risked.
- Engage with stakeholders and end users to meet business requirements.
Your capability
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience with developing for Microsoft SQL Server using Transact SQL.
- Experience creating and deploying SSIS packages.
- Some experience with SQL Server database administration.
- Database design and modelling experience.
- Good understanding of the SDLC process, exposure to Agile methodologies a bonus.
- Familiarity with source control tools and concepts.
- Excellent data analysis and root cause analysis capability.
- Capable of taking full ownership of assigned tasks and commitment to deliver on time.
- Ability to work both independently and with minimal guidance, as well as with a team.
- Good communications skills and user liaison skills.
