Melbournians love sports right? From AFL, Rugby, Cricket and even Soccer? Well if you have a passion for sport and also are a pretty damn good software engineer I could have the perfect role for you.
We are “teaming” up (like what I did there ;) ) with a fantastic business who ply their trade partnering with sports teams on a global scale. Their product is a secret (not because it’s new) but because I don’t want those pesky recruiters finding out my client. But of course give me a call and we can discuss further – details below.
Anyway… I am on the hunt for a Senior Software Engineer to work in Melbourne inner suburbs. The ideal candidates will not only have fantastic experience with the MS stack across .NET 4 and up, Visual Studio, WPF and any embedded experience +++ points.
You will also need excellent communication along with a “team player” attitude, the software team work collaboratively so you will be able to bond and hold a conversation! The culture here is fantastic, I personally have been for beers with a few of the team and I safely say they are a great bunch.
Technical Skills Needed:
- .NET 4.0 and up
- C#
- Visual Studio
- Real-time data experience
- Multi-threaded
- Source Control – Git, Perforce
- WPF, C++
- Embedded development experience
- Cross platform development – OSX, Linux, Unix, Windows
- Sporting knowledge – not just that Messi is better than Ronaldo
- Agile development experience
- TDD environments, and yes you use unit testing – not just say you do
- Write clean, maintainable and traceable code
- Get sh*t done, strong work ethic to work through tight deadlines
Not only the above but this is a must... you will have a few good jokes up your sleeve – for example - Just seen a French footballer playing on a nintendo…It was Thierry on Wii (feel free to send me your jokes)
