About the Position & Location
We are seeking a full time permanent IT Network & Communications Administrator to work within the infrastructure team that together are responsible for servicing our clinic's 20 hospital and community sites.
In this role you will install, monitor and maintain our ITC infrastructure including all associated network hardware and communications software.
This position is based in Subiaco however, you will be required to travel throughout the Perth Metropolitan Area.
About the Duties
Reporting to the Infrastructure & Development Manager (IT), your duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Provide technical, functional and operational expertise for IT network infrastructure and communications solutions.
- Configure the IT network and communication solutions to ensure operation and performance meets service levels.
- Ensure changes to IT network and communications solutions follow the approved Change Management procedure.
- Undertake and document appropriate levels of testing as par to the Change Management procedure
- Develop standards and maintain accurate details and currency of records.
- Develop and maintain expertise to deliver training and related documentation.
- Provide plans and recommendations to ensure appropriate network solutions are selected and maintained.
- Work with network carriers and service providers to ensure the IT network and communications solutions are supported
Essential Requirements

Relevant tertiary qualification in IT or computer science

Relevant professional certification (e.g. CCNP, CCNA, UCCXD, etc)

Experience in a similiar role in a corporate environment

Experience with a variety of network manufactuere equpment (e.g. CISCO, Juniper, Cumulus, etc)

Experience managing and supporting communications technologies (e.g. Cisco CallManager, UCCX)

Solid understanding of network operating systems

Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control and monitoring of network infrastructure

Solid background in network administration and architecture

In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF)

Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools.

Ability to interpret user requirements and translate into technical specifications.

Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise tasks, work effectively under pressure, analyse and effectively problem solve to meet targets and deadlines

Ability to work independently in a complex technical environment with multiple stakeholders
