About the opportunity?

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Deskside Support Engineer to provide senior frontline support to the Aussie team using a multi-channel approach (walk-up, phone, email and web chat). You will provide deskside and remote hardware, software and application support to all users, including escalated incidents from the Broker Services Centre, with a particular focus on Office 365 and EM+S related issues.

Reporting to our Senior Manager, Workplace Technology you will:

  • log, categorise and prioritise any cases raised directly by the Corporate team through the walk-up methods
  • perform Level 2 support activities, including request fulfilment, for Corporate devices, in-building technology, collaboration facilities and telephony
  • perform Level 2 support activities for Broker devices, including both SOE and BYO devices
  • escalate cases to other technical teams or external partners as necessary, maintaining appropriate follow-up and case ownership.

  • extensive experience in providing Deskside or EUC support functions; including on-site and remote support or similar experience supporting user environments above 1000 seats 
  • experience within structured case management frameworks and processes, including incident/request management, service level adherence and escalation management
  • post-secondary certificate in Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline
  • experience with the disciplines, principles and challenges of both managed operating environments and BYOD environments
  • problem management techniques, root cause analysis methods and continuous improvement frameworks.
