This large Insurer is embarking on a major transformation, with significant investment to uplift the Data and Decisioning capability.
Work with the Data and Hadoop Architects, taking responsibility for driving the development of the Data Hub.
As part of this role, you will be expected to fulfil the following duties:
- Build the new Data Hub Hadoop environment
- Work with technical and non-technical teams
- Develop applications in the Hadoop ecosystem (Hive, Impala, Ambari, Navigator etc)
- Work within multiple frameworks
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise in the Hadoop domain
To be successful for the role you must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Have at least one big data implementation under your belt
- A MINIMUM of 10 years data experience, with 2 years minimum Hadoop development
- Large site /Financial Services experience preferred
- Experience with Spark, Scala, machine learning is a big plus
- Energy combined with a love of data
