PAG R&D PTY LTD is growing our high-performance product team rapidly and we are looking for a strong Software Developer / Programmer with advanced knowledge of statistics/econometrics to join our team. As part of our vision for the future and ongoing growth, we would like to enhance our Software Development Team, based in the Melbourne CBD, by adding a proven talent to it. Suitable candidate must hold a Bachelor degree or higher qualification in relevant field.

The following skills and experience are required:

• Software Programming and Development including working with the Software Development team to develop programs in C#.Net Microsoft ASP.NET, WebForms, React.js (and its environment including Node.js) and other languages/platforms as required
• Experience web development using HTML / HTML5, CSS / CSS3 Javascript, etc.
• Strong skills in PL/SQL, LING
• Experience in version control using TFS or SVN
• Database development and programming including assisting the software development team develop databases using SQL, T-SQL
• Understanding of networks and network programming including cloud-based systems
• Working with the Economics and Statistics team to, amongst other things:
  • assist with the development of R&D projects and client projects; and
  • understand advanced statistical formulae and code complex mathematical algorithms in C, C#, C++ , Python and/or other relevant code.
• Working with the Machine Learning and Image Recognition team to assist with the development of R&D projects and client projects.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Working efficiently and collaboratively within a team
• Self-starter with a proactive attitude
