About the Client:
A Federal Government Agency responsible for providing the infrastructure for safety of navigation in Australian waters, and maintaining a national search and rescue service for the maritime and aviation sectors.
About the role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Business Architect for an emergency response project whose scope is to define the architecture, processes, requirements, and roadmap that will lead to the market approach and delivery of the future incident and emergency response capability. You will be working with an existing small team - Enterprise Architect, Enterprise Business and Information Architect, Enterprise Solution Architect, Project Manager, Project Information and Solution Architect, Business Executives and SME's. Specifically, you will be required to:
- Identify and engage relevant stakeholders and setup relevant workshops to elicit current and future system needs;
- Develop, analyse and document current and future business architecture, process and requirements identifying gaps and opportunities.
- Communicate with business and technical SME's to define the needs based on an understanding of business, information and technical contraints.
- Develop market approach documentation in alignment with government processes; and
- Identify issues and escalate for review and corrective action where necessary.
Skills & Experience:
Essential skills and experience
- Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience working as an Information and Solution Architect and delivering projects for government programs and/or projects.
- Demonstrated experience and skills in information discovery to document the current and future information and solution architecture based on business needs that lead to implementation
- Demonstrated experience and skills in complex multi-tier integrated systems discovery, design and implementation to document the current and future solution architecture based on business and information needs.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement.
- Experience in designing information solutions to enable data mining, analytics and visualisation.
- Strong documentation and business client engagement skills.
Nice-to-have skills and experience
- Experience in the design and delivery of solutions for emergency management and co-ordination functions
- Experience in the design and implementation of multi-tier integrated (on premise and off premise) solutions
- Experience in communication, development of artefacts and reporting to senior executives
- Certifications in Enterprise Architecture frameworks.
- Experience in using Sparx EA for collection of information and traceability of requirements
