The Technology Team Lead will be responsible for implementing and maintaining appropriate technology to support organisation's key business processes. The ideal candidate will be required to develop and administer the technology environment according to best practice technology management policies, standards and procedures and in line with organisational priorities and risk.
Core Accountabilities:
- Coordinate the operational ICT requirements of the department.
- Coordinate the implementation of technology projects to improve current processes and procedures in line with business plans and strategies.
- Perform appropriate system and network administration functions to ensure that all system software, hardware, network and telecommunication services are performing to their optimum capabilities.
- Provide expert technical advice, training and support to council staff.
- Develop and administer the technology environment according to best practice technology management policies, standards and procedures and in line with organisational priorities and risk.
- Assist the Information Services Manager with the development of aligned strategic and operational plans.
- High level interpersonal skills for establishing good working relationships with multiple stakeholders.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
- Ability to oversee the installation of software upgrades and to undertake satisfactory testing procedures.
- Extensive experience in managing firewalls administration and MS Exchange server administration.
- Hands-on expertise in maintaining server hardware and software, including an Active Directory environment.
- Certification in Prince2 or ITIL framework and practices or similar.
- Ability to display leadership, communication and teamwork skills to effectively coordinate and develop staff within the Information Technology team.
- Well-developed communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong business systems acumen and project management experience.
