With a strong focus on investing in our people, we are seeking Software Engineer Managers to join our Digital Content & Forms Technology team.

A strong focus will be placed on the applicant’s people leadership qualities and ability to engage/motivate their team to work autonomously towards outcomes; ensuring speed to market is maintained whilst guaranteeing a high quality of output to drive a first class customer experience.

We’re looking for leaders and innovators to champion the build it, run it, software lifecycle model, for end to end accountability for their solutions.

The successful applicant will be accountable for the engagement and continuous capability uplift of a team of approximately 12 engineers, who will responsible for the build and run of Digital products and services that represent NAB’s digital front door for our customers.

What would I be doing?

Working directly with our Digital Content & Forms leadership team, stakeholders and sponsors across the enterprise to deliver on committed features & evergreen software management, as well as regularly celebrating outcomes.

You will be responsible for enabling a high performing culture by motivating and engaging your team and peers.  You will have full accountability for the resourcing of your team including onboarding to ensure the right mix of skills and experience to deliver on your goals.  Your experience will enable you to switch between agile coaching, delivery, support, technical advisor and people manager.

What we need.

To be successful in the role you should possess a combination of the following skills / experience

• A proven people leader experienced in managing high performing teams of skilled engineers;
• Strong working experience with one or more of the following technologies;
  • Adobe Experience Manager;
  • Enterprise grade Java applications;
  • Highly integrated, highly complex and high volume transactional systems;
  • Enterprise scale content management solutions;
  • Adobe Experience Cloud suite.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD processes and technologies;
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure and GCP;
• Strong experience leading Agile teams;
• Strong experience in operational roles supporting enterprise level applications;
• Solid understanding of ITIL V3 with certifications;
• Solid understanding of Java, Javascript, Angular JS, React;
• Experience in Jira and confluence.
