Land Services SA (LSSA) entered into a 40 year contract with the State Government of South Australia on 12 October 2017.

This commercial arrangement engages Land Services SA to:

  • Provide the land titling services previously provided by the South Australian Land Titles Office (LTO); 
  • Provide the valuation services previously provided by the South Australian State Valuation Office (SVO); 
  • Commercialise certain State information assets of the LTO, SVO and Land Boundaries Office (LBO), subject to rights for governmental use, existing contractual arrangements and future sub-licenses, and
  • innovate new products and services subject to State approval. 

This exciting and unique arrangement creates an enormous opportunity to leverage our data and existing products to significantly grow this business into a hub of innovation which will provide insights to existing and new markets.

 

Role Overview

 

The Business Analyst, Digital Plan Lodgement and Examination is accountable to the Manager, Business Transformation for the overall management of requirements, problem solving, and testing of the Digital Plan Lodgement and Examination Project, that comprises of the following work streams:

  1. Implementation of a pilot Digital Plan Lodgement solution;
  2. Implementation of a pilot Digital Plan Examination solution; and
  3. Development of a Business Transformation Plan and Business Case for the implementation of the piloted solutions into the LSSA production environment.

These series of initiatives will collectively improve the quality and efficiency of plan lodgement and plan examination services in South Australia.

The Business Analyst is required to undertake a range of activities which may include all or any of the following:

  1. Management of project related requirements which includes eliciting, defining, organising, prioritising, translating, simplifying, analysing, validating, documenting and communicating of requirements.
  2. Interpreting business rules and requirements to determine appropriate business and technical solutions
  3. Working together with internal and external stakeholders in resolving complex issues and developing innovative technical and business solutions that are consistent with the project and business objectives.
  4. Contribute to the design, development and review of test cases, test scripts and acceptance criteria.
  5. Providing advice to management and external stakeholders on strategies to ensure the project deliverables are met within the required quality and timeframe.

Essential Requirements 

To succeed in this challenging role , you will have

  1. Experience in analysing, specifying and delivering information technology solutions that meet business needs.
  2. Proven ability to work under broad directions in determining goals and priorities, measuring and improving performance outcomes and strategically planning multifaceted activities.
  3. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills that demonstrate commitment to customers, advanced writing ability in delivering clear and concise advice appropriate to the audience, and successful negotiations and conflict resolution outcomes

 

Special Conditions

  1. Must be prepared to work outside normal business hours
  2. Interstate / Intrastate travel may be required.
