An urgent need has arisen to engage the services of an experienced PHP web developer. 

Key aspects of the position

• Apply technical expertise to challenging programming and design problems.
• Work with the development team, architects and product owners to continuously improve our software solution and architecture.
• Work as a key member of an agile software development team.
• Guide and coach other development staff.
• Participate in the development of guidelines, standards and best practices.
• An evident appreciation of current and emerging technology trends.

Required skills: 

• 3-5+ years PHP Engineering experience with Laravel (Mandatory)
• Strong relational database experience
• Great SQL experience
• Good experience with large datasets
• Experience with Enterprise Web Development Solutions
• Great communication skills
• Experience using Source Control Management Systems (e.g. Git, Bitbucket).
• Experience working in an agile environment (Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc...)
• Ability to work independently and remotely within a global team

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain products as per instructions from Software development manager
• Document code, architecture, and functions built and used for the projects and products
• Resolve defects/bugs during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-release.
• Provide daily updates of work/tasks completed
• Provide a weekly report showing all workload completed and the time it took to complete the work/tasks.
• Attend meetings, planning sessions online and in person.
