The Client:
My client is an Australian education institution based in Melbourne. This organisation has over 40,000 students and over 2700 employees within Australia.
 
The Assignment:
The client has a BI development piece that requires a Senior Oracle BI developer who is able to do both the data warehouse and data modelling, as well as the frontend report development.
 
Experience Required:

• Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) (12c) to:
• -     Design data extract, load and transformation routines
• -     Design & implement data model in data warehouse
• -     Interface with Essbase application cubes
• Python programming to interface with Cloud‐hosted DB via API calls
• Oracle BI (OBIEE) (11g) to perform:
• -     Data Modelling (RPD)
• -     Modelling and implementing Essbase application cubes
• -     Dashboard/Report development, incorporating Javascript and web graphic elements
• Oracle DB (12c), Microsoft SQL DB
• Linux environments
• Familiar with SDLC/agile methodologies
• Familiar with data and business logic in Student Management Systems (Callista, Student 1)

Scope of work ‐ to design, test and implement:

• ETL routines to extract data (delta/full load) from cloud hosted DB into DW staging area
• Data Models in DW integration area – there is need to integrate with existing data models
• OBIEE Logical Data Models (RPD) – there is a need to integrate with and extend existing logical models
• Reports and Dashboards based on user supplied report requirements and definitions
