To help us on our journey we’re looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer to join our mission team and deliver a range of solutions using emerging technologies as well as facilitating ongoing enhancements to existing software. You will play a key role in the architecture of solutions delivered to the business, and will be involved throughout the stages of software development process, including consultation with stakeholders, design, implementation, testing, release and post-implementation support and maintenance.

More about the ROLE:

• Agile – Teams are given the autonomy to come up with solutions & how they deliver independently in cross-functional teams
• Rapid Frontends – We’re in the process of breaking apart our website into CI/CD driven deployable components, owned & supported by the team who built them
• DevOps - Creating, supporting, and monitoring the infrastructure we deploy using Amazon Web Services. All our infrastructure & deployment scripts are built, versioned & maintained by our engineers. We release multiple times a day, and our teams support their own software
• A champion for continuous improvements & knowledge sharing within your team & the wider practice

  
About YOU:
We’re looking for an Engineer with a real passion for software design and development practices. If you’ve an active interest in the latest technologies and architectural trends then check out the details below and if they apply to you then please send us your application today!

Technical Skills

• At least 5 years’ experience JavaScript (including ES6) & Web development
• At least 2 years’ experience with a client-side JavaScript Framework (We use React, but any modern JS framework will do)
• Experience building on & deploying to a cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP etc.)
• Highly proficient with responsive web development; cross-browser and device agnostic

Core Competencies:

• Collaborate effectively with your teammates; Taking & giving constructive feedback
• Articulate technical challenges to both technical & non-technical milestones.
• Break down complex technical/product initiative into lean deliverable milestones
• An understanding of the value & challenges in implementing Continuous Integration/Delivery
• Experience in agile methodologies and its application to the development process
• A proven track record of delivering the best solution for the task at hand, not just building the solution expected/requested
• Strong understanding of digital landscape, including web and mobile and experience integrating systems using different technologies, protocols and API’s.
