Job Summary
  
As a member of the Business Intelligence & Analytics team you will be responsible for the design and development of BI & Analytics solutions using appropriate toolsets across a variety of verticals to meet customer objectives. Familiarity with CPM and associated financial/accounting concepts would be ideal.
This role will involve working across multiple projects, sometimes individually and sometimes as a part of a team, to carry out allocated tasks and responsibilities in a timely and consistent manner. Customer facing and onsite work will be required regularly.
This role will include hands-on development but we are not looking for a code jockey, you will be working collaboratively with customer stakeholders, including executives and end-users, to:

• Optimize business process through application of BI & analytics capabilities.
• Promote Business Intelligence & analytics super-user and end-user best practice.
• Consistently implement and leverage Business Intelligence toolsets using best practice development and implementation methodologies.

  
Responsibilities
   
Hands-on technical implementation and deployment of BI & analytics toolsets including, but not limited to, the Microsoft BI & Analytics suite.

• Conduct detailed scoping workshops and develop high level project work plans.
• Provide configuration and development estimates.
• Develop functional and where required technical specifications.
• Train customer personnel on the use and administration of their products of specialisation (including functional user and technical training)
• Provide technical support to existing clients.
• Taking ownership of BI projects assigned and supporting other developers in completing tasks.

  
Knowledge/Skills 

• 3+ years of experience working in multi-source data environments using ETL automations and an understanding of database concepts. 
• 3+ years- experience in data visualisation development and management within a Microsoft environment..
• Demonstrable experience with one or more components of the Microsoft BI toolset (PowerBI, DAX, SSIS, SSAS, other components)
• Experience across other CPM/Business Intelligence technologies (e.g. Qlik, Board, Tableau or similar) preferred.
• Experience delivering solutions within a consulting environment.
• Problem solving abilities and a sharp analytical mindset. 
• Able to translate design and business requirements into technical data requirements.
• Able to create technical and maintenance documentation for reports and end user training as needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• An inquisitive mindset that encourages maintaining a solid understanding of what is new and innovative within the Business Intelligence market.
• Some domestic travel may be involved.

  
Education & Qualifications:

• Degree Qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science/Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
