The Company
Our client is a start-up in the mobility industry and require a senior embedded C++ software developer to help them push their product through its final stages of production. Their product has already garnered massive interest as it will be a game changer in their market. This an opportunity to get stuck into a great product utilising your knowledge of embedded systems.
This role is for an immediate start that offers remote work and flexible arrangements. This could suit a part time gig as well.
The role
You will be working with a passionate team of owners and developers who have painstakingly gone through intense R&D leveraging technology and performance improvements to create a hybrid motor driver PCB that runs a custom forked firmware which is where you come in.
Specifically, the driver is a custom design that is connected by CANBUS that requires you to :
- Dissect and understand the CAN communication between the drivers.
- An architecture structure for entry point changes without disrupting or introducing bugs into the current coding.
- Create a coding structure that will enable future developments and enhancement easily on the product.
Skills required
- C Experience in an Embedded Environment
- Experience of Embedded Processors
- Experience of Real-Time Operating Systems
- Low Level Microprocessor Code
- High Level Code running within an embedded OS environment
- Source Control such as SubVersion and GitCommunication protocols - I2C, SPI, CANbus or Modbus
- Power Maintenance
