Job Requirements
The successful candidate will need to clearly demonstrate, current Windows administration experience within a medium to large environment and have a positive, proactive attitude to confidently deliver quality results without close supervision.
This role is a senior technical escalation point and a coordination channel for production implementations, therefore proven documentation experience is vital. The ability to write and execute testing processes, oversee staged solution rollouts and to administer technical change control activities, bundled with an open and friendly manner to team collaboration is expected.
Enterprise grade PowerShell skills along the ability to identify and facilitate production automation opportunities is key to the role. Operational knowledge of SCOM, Configuration Manager Deployments (SCCM), Dell Server Management tools are also to be clearly demonstrated within the position application.
Necessary Technical Skills
Proven experience in Windows Server administration; including
- Remote troubleshooting techniques
- Maintaining environment system health
- Operational HyperV virtualisation knowledge
- Operational File and printing server knowledge
Strong knowledge of networking technologies and their protocols; including
- DHCP scope configuration and the automatic deployment of
- Server configuration on VLAN subnets and the technical troubleshooting of
- Intermediate Windows server TCP/IP network routing principals
- Remote deployment and operational understanding of RADIUS configuration
Proven experience in Windows automation; including
- Streamlining routine support tasks
- Developing PowerShell scripting solutions
Experience working with Dell server infrastructure; including
- Operational iDRAC functionality
- Operational OMSA functionality
- Intermediate Hardware RAID configuration
Operational knowledge of Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager deployment methodologies
- Strong written and verbal customer service communication skills
- Clear understanding of ITIL Change, Problem and Incident frameworks.
