Peoplebank Canberra currently has on offer one Senior Business Analyst contract opportunity with our Federal Government Department based in Phillip, Woden. The Department is seeking these professionals to start in late July/early August through to 30 June 2019 with the provision of two 12-month extension options.

Mandatory/Desirable Candidate Criteria/Skills:

  • Proven experience in delivering successful strategic outcomes for government agencies with at least 6 yrs experience as a senior business analyst with substantial IT Projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive stakeholder relationships with senior staff members, peers and other contacts.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor a team of business analysts.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the principles of enterprise architecture, solution design and data modelling.
  • Proven experience in the analysis and documentation of business rules using industry best practices.
  • Demonstrated business analysis skills, in particular provide evidence of your experience regarding: a) significant business process modelling and re-engineering exercises; b) business requirements elicitation and reporting skills; c) translating requirements between the language of business to the language of ICT personnel; d) delivery of successful business solutions from business requirements. e) maintain backlog requirements and be responsive to analysis needs in an Agile delivery environment.
  • Experience in the development of IT systems that utilise a business rules engine, including the development of detailed executable rules from business rules.
  • Experience with the implementation of Case Management systems.
  • Experience in the Intellectual Property Domain.
  • Procurement experience working with business and IT areas to establish clear requirements, business impact assessment and future state structures, process models, role definitions and procedures in support of alternative solution sourcing delivery models such as outsourcing or co-sourcing.
