Incident Response Analyst
Permanent Position – Immediate Start
Sydney CBD location
 
As the Incident Response Analyst, you are responsible for establishing yourself as the go-to person for all cyber security incidents working closely with the SOC analysts and wider Cyber team.

Bringing your security knowledge will assist in developing and improving the security maturity across the wider business. 
  
Responsibilities:

• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of threats and vulnerabilities and suggest detection and mitigation strategies
• Monitor system events for signs of malicious activity or intrusion attempts
• Manage Cyber Security Incidents through the whole lifecycle, from detection to root cause analysis
• Hands on experience of conducting initial analysis of suspected incidents
• Validate security assessment findings
• Experience of creating test / risk treatments
• Lead on identifying security weaknesses within client corporate systems

 
Essential Skills:

• 2/3+ years’ experience in Incident Response/Security Analysis environment
• Understanding of Python and Powershell
• Demonstrable experience in communication and presentation skills
• Prior Systems Administration experience preferred
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• In depth knowledge of a broad spectrum of security technologies, incorporating network, operating system and application security
