As a Security Engineer, you will be working in a team of specialists who focus on preserving the integrity & confidentiality of data through the promotion of stable, up-to-date and resilient security platforms & ‘fit for purpose’ security controls. You will be engaged in continually improving systems and network infrastructure through a combination of focused operational & project security initiatives.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Working as part of a Security Operations team, you will be responsible for engineering, implementing, monitoring and improving the security posture of Youi’s network & endpoint security infrastructure.
  • Design and document detailed security infrastructure architecture according to, at a minimum, industry recognised best practice.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure Platform stability across numerous security technologies
  • Security device management and monitoring
  • Monitor, manage and maintain the integrity and availability of operational security technologies.
  • The ability to perform platform maintenance, updates & platform troubleshooting
  • Responding to security incidents & events, ensuring that cyber security incidents are managed according to process, and are communicated to the necessary stakeholders according to sensitivity and criticality.
  • Responding to Platform stability events.

The ideal candidate would possess:

  • At least 3+ years working in a similar security role within an Enterprise environment.
  • Very strong experience in security infrastructure, including Next-Generation Firewalls (i.e.: Palo Alto incl URL-Filtering), Web Application Firewalls (WAF), intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc.
  • Detailed technical knowledge of Web Application and Operating System security.
  • Strong ability interacting with other I.T. teams or vendors in order to architect solutions or circumvent problems.
  • Strong trouble-shooting ability and problem solving skills
  • Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, protocols, and practices.
  • Broad I.T. Infrastructure knowledge including familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, O365, F5 and Antivirus.
  • ITIL – Familiarity with general Change Management, Incident Management & Problem Management process advantageous.
  • Cloud Security Experience advantageous.
  • Experience with enterprise security and networking technologies, systems, infrastructure, and network analysis / monitoring tools using Splunk.
  • Experience in building, documenting and maintaining complex security solutions and systems.
