Working for a well reputed service provider making waves in the Perth market. My client is looking for a Scrum Master with some business analysis experience to coach teams within the principles of Scrum. The split role will comprise of 70% Scrum Master duties and the remaining 30% business analysis.
Duties:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing small Scrum teams within different cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc.
- Performing business analysis with the Product Owner to refine the requirements/user stories
- Guide and coach the Scrum team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values including leading and coaching the team along its Agile maturity and promoting delivery of business value
- Teach and coach application developers to adopt Continuous Delivery practices such as Test-Driven Development, Specification by Example, Story Mapping, and other Lean/Agile Modelling Techniques
- Identify and implement agile metrics to measure a team’s Agility and then use those measures to help guide a team forward
- Identify, escalate, and remove team impediments that jeopardize sprint goals
- Handle back end/API teams from the Scrum perspective.
- Responsible for facilitating daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint reviews/demo, backlog grooming / refinement, sprint retrospective and release planning meetings
Essential skills:
- Proven track record and CV reflecting your experience as a Scrum Master
- Experience in cloud app development projects with TDD and BDD methodologies
- Proven experience of business analysis
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle and DevOps.
- Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
- Knowledge about tasks, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and user stories etc.
- Experience in applying Scrum patterns and techniques (like Burndown techniques, Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)
- Master of JIRA, Confluence etc.
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills
Desirable:
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) / PMI-ACP preferred
- Experience working in a large AD shop with highly distributed applications is a strong plus
- Experience teaching and mentoring others in Agile process, including adapting Agile to make it work in various environments in a strong plus
- Technical AD background preferred
- Experience in Oil & Gas/ Resources domain is preferred
