Axxin develop cutting edge medical devices marketed to global customers.  Our products have complex touch screen based user interfaces, running on dedicated custom designed hardware. 

Our products are regulated and have safety critical requirements - Testing and verification is a key part of what we do.  

A Software Tester is required for a 12 month fixed term contract that could potentially convert over to permanent work.

This is a graduate level or early career position for a bright and enthusiastic candidate with good analytical and communication skills.  The role will involve:

• analysis of device, software and system requirements
• the preparation and execution of test plans and protocols
• management of product defects and reporting on the status of these defects
• the preparation of test reports

This role works closely the development team to improve our products and ensure that they meet functional , performance and quality requirements.  

Training and skill development will be provided in the following areas:

• Medical Device/Safety Criticial Software Development Process and Methods
• ISO 13485/62304 QA 
• Unit Testing and Black Box Testing
• Software Development - C#, C and C++ 
• Continuous Integration 

The role will develop your skills in software design and development, as well as quality assurance systems and procedures.

If you have come from a QA or Software/Hardware Testing background this would be ideal.  Applications for graduate candidates with technical training and aptitude will also be considered.

Clear written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail are a must for this role.

Professional Requirements

• A degree level background in engineering or software development is a requirement for this position.

• Excellent spoken and written English is essential.

• Australian citizen or Australian Resident status must exist at time of application.

• You will be creative, self motivated and able to work to deadlines and schedules.

• You will have a demonstrated approach to documentation, , clear thinking and problem solving.
