The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV), based in Ascot Vale is a member-based; not-for-profit organisation. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer and as part of a small IT team, you will manage all first level desktop support and be the primary point of contact for all escalations. You will also support and maintain hardware equipment and provide support on all core productivity applications to staff and venue clients. Develop additional skills by providing backup to the Cloud and Network Senior Engineer.
What will your day look like?
The key objective of this position is to provide a high level of customer satisfaction in delivery of technology solutions for RASV staff and the clients of Melbourne Showgrounds.
This is a hands-on customer-centric role providing solutions to end-user and end-customer technical issues, from quote through to delivery and support. This role is responsible for build, deployment and support for Desktop Hardware, Desktop Software, Venue WiFi and Venue CCTV.
Given the nature of an event based environment, some out of hours/on call work will be involved.
What we are looking for?
Relevant IT qualifications and at least 2 years’ experience in a similar IT support role in a corporate environment. You will have well developed knowledge of Desktop hardware including Desktops, Laptops, Switches, Printers and Mobiles as well as demonstrative experience in desktop productivity software applications, including Microsoft products such as Office 365 including SharePoint.
Candidates will be highly regarded if they have networking experience, including knowledge of Firewalls, Switches and WiFi is required as well as having experience working with Surveillance Cameras (CCTV); both hardware and software.
You must also display strong problem solving and organisational skills and most critically, outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and a strong customer service orientation.
