What you'll be doing
 
The Application Specialist/Business Analyst will provide application specific expertise to the design of clinical solutions developed by the eMR Connect Program. As part of the design process, the Application Specialist/Business Analyst will be managing the review and analysis of the organisation's business intentions, services, processes and information needs to identify changes that lead to business improvements. This position provides the bridge between eHealth NSW’s customers and technical staff, so that the customer’s requirements are successfully implemented in systems. The key role is to manage processes associated with receiving, reviewing and actioning requests for new and changed functionality.

  1. Relevant qualification and/or extensive experience in managing and supporting clinical information systems; with the ability to elicit, understand and translate business requirements to ICT solutions within a large and complex service industry organisation.
  2. Tertiary qualifications in Medical, Nursing, Pharmacy or Allied Health and/or equivalent extensive experience in a hospital setting including demonstrated understanding of hospital clinical care processes and work practices within a large health care organisation/NSW Health.
  3. Experience in the configuration and deployment of the Cerner Millennium Electronic Medical Record platform, in particular the electronic medication management modules including PharmNet.
  4. Demonstrated understanding and experience with Australian medication management processes and business analysis skills.
  5. Highly-developed analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to analyse and interpret complex information from numerous sources, prepare and present analysis and reports, produce high quality written documentation and presentations in a timely manner.
  6. Well-developed interpersonal, consultation, facilitation, negotiation and communications skills with demonstrated capacity to broker effective ICT system and solutions with a diverse range of internal and external key stakeholders to achieve optimal business outcomes.
  7. Extensive experience in delivering project outcomes on time and to the expected levels of quality, including the demonstrated ability to identify and manage risks within a project.
