The Role
Reporting to the CIO, with dotted line to the PMO Manager you will be a highly valued and critical member of the projects team. This is a project management role in a cross functional team and does have multiple mandates.
First and foremost is project delivery - working on multiple concurrent projects, looking at resource allocation, managing stakeholders both above and below, facilitating cross-project communication & contributing to the enhancement of methods/best practices.
This is an outcome focused organization, waterfall and agile practices have been blended to enable the most effective delivery. People who take a flexible and adaptive approach to how they work, and people who drive forward momentum in people and projects, will likely fit well.
There is a relatively flat structure, not overly focused on hierarchy & the business aims to create teams where every member is a leader. In line with this, and given the experiences you will have likely had, you should enjoy mentoring and developing those around you & understand how to motivate a diverse group of people.
About You
Your personality type, attitude, drivers, and skill set are all of a high importance. Finding the correct cultural fit is paramount here. An individual who understands people and how to get the best out of them. Someone with enthusiasm, patience, and experience in equal measure, who has seen, felt and learnt from the positive and negative ripples of change.
A lot of your success will depend on your soft-skills and what motivates/enthuses you as a person. Working on a range of business process improvement and technology projects is a plus but not a must have, experience in both a large and a small-medium enterprise environment is also preferable.
Your experience and skills should include most, if not all:
- Successful project delivery utilizing a range of frameworks and methods.
- The running of workshops and engagement of diverse groups of people.
- An adaptive and innovative approach to rapidly evolving needs and circumstances.
You must also have or be:
- A passion and desire towards achieving absolute excellence.
- Driven to inspire, empower and lead at all levels.
- Clarity of purpose, focus, be a fan of agility and simplicity.
