We are looking to grow our team and hire a number of Trainee Estimators and Detailers to join our dynamic design team based in Richmond.

Timbertruss (a division of Bowen & Pomeroy Pty Ltd) is a leading manufacturer of pre-fabricated house frames, which includes timber roof trusses, wall frames and posi struts. 

Think of these timber trusses and frames as the key elements of a house, so in essence you will be helping build people's dreams – who could say 'No' to that?

With sites across Melbourne & Geelong, we have fantastic opportunities for professionals who want to join us and commence their exciting careers in construction design.

The role involves the interpretation of architectural & engineering plans and drawings, and transferring this information into the MiTek software.   It's from this software that we generate our quotes and detailed manufacturing drawings which are used by our in-house production team, who will turn your work into real-life timber frames, ready for shipping to site. 

Regardless of your experience level, you will be fully trained by our skilled and experienced staff. 

You will be in charge of your own jobs, although you will still be part of a larger team. 

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Keen interest and passion for construction design
• Good computer skills in MS Office (any experience in MiTek software will be advantageous)
• Strong willingness to learn
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Good Mathematics skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong focus on customer service
• Be flexible, honest and hardworking
• And finally no experience is required, but it is an advantage

Much of the above can be taught, although the more you bring, the better.  If you have a great attitude, the right skills and a great personality – we want you on our team!
