We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Store Planner to support the Group Property team in planning, managing, and overseeing the process and project activities for store renovations, new branches, relocations and expansions.

In this role you will work with the Store Design and Planning Manager and Senior Stakeholders to supervise and coordinate all architectural and construction activities required for the renovation, minor works projects or creation of a new branch, bringing people together and delivering outcomes through influence and collaboration.

This role is currently based in Burwood and Dandenong South, and in 2020 we’ll relocate to our new state of the art facilities in Cremorne (Richmond). Incumbents must travel to renovation and new store sites as necessary to ensure accuracy and proper completion.

Key responsibilities include;

• Contract with and manage external consultants such as architects, engineers, contractors and direct vendors
• Assist and responsible for costs, timing and quality of projects throughout planning and construction
• Communicate on projects regularly with key internal stakeholders and work closely with the marketing department throughout all phases of projects.
• Prepare feasibility studies, to evaluate locations and estimate budgets and schedules
• Collaborate with Finance Department on budgets and Leasing Team on contracts
• Collect start-up information from corporate and local parties (Branch Managers, Partners, etc.) necessary to develop the design in accordance with company commercial requirements
• Establish contact with architectural clients, to get location drawings and guidelines and all other necessary technical start up information
• Oversee all post-renovation/post-opening/post-relocation and expansion punch list by partnering with the Construction (Clients)
• Maintain a safe working environment at job sites
• Implement new procedures, best practices, useful tools and efficiencies for new stores and existing stores.
• Follow all Company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need:

• Relevant knowledge and skills with experience with at least 3 years’ experience as an Architecture or Design and Construction qualification in a Business-related discipline and or Project Management certification preferred
• To enjoy working in an inclusive, fast-paced, collaborative environment which values team culture.
• Good communication and presentation skills - can relate to any level
• Use technology effectively, seeking ways to use technology for the good of the business. Will be proactive in investigating and adopting new technologies to achieve competitive advantage. Computer skills: AutoCAD 2D/3D, Revit, Photoshop and all Office programs.

• Confidence to use your initiative to problem solve.
• Calm and considered, showing good judgement and an ability to see things from multiple perspectives.
• An eye for detail and an ability to change pace as required to deliver results.
