About the Role

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design development and documentation of custom, residential building projects.  Partnering closely with potential and established clients, you will draw upon your highly-developed technical knowledge, skills and experience, in order to create inspirational home designs for a broad range of single and double storey residential projects for both Scott Salisbury New Homes and Bradford Homes, primarily.  In doing so, will highlight your sound understanding of space utilisation, planning requirements and the application of construction methods.

Keys to Success

Pivotal to your success will be your ability to meet the following:-

• Strong, previous experience in designing and preparing working drawings for custom, residential building projects
• Tertiary qualifications in design or architecture
• Sound construction knowledge across the broad range of contemporary construction methods, to ensure compliance with relevant Codes and Standards
• An ability to develop solid working relationships and to work collaboratively with Sales Consultants
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to develop trusting client relationships, that will ensure that the end product, fully realises their vision
• A passion for knowledge and to keep across current market styles and trends, with the  confidence and awareness to know when you can be even bolder with your individuality and creativity, in your concepts and designs
• Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to make decisions to meet needs or required outcomes
• A positive manner and high level of self-motivation and drive to thrive as part of a team, or when you may need to operate more independently
• A solid work ethic and ability to manage your time to navigate multiple projects, priorities and deadlines
• Sound working knowledge and skills in using AutoCAD and Revit software.
