Bellview Corporation P/L is seeking a Design/Production Assistant on a 12 Month Contract.

Based in Reservoir, you will be working closely with the account manager, the design manager and the overseas production officers to assist in the design and production of children's, teen, women's and men's socks, hosiery and accessories for some Australia's biggest retailers.   

This is an excellent opportunity to learn and grow within the fashion industry, working across a variety of categories.

Main responsibilities include: 

• To review, develop and design ranges including cad design and modules
• Draw up specifications for all new product developments
• Complete quality assurance on all overseas production
• Create and maintain social media content and web related materials
• Liaising with factories in regards to yarn/fabric quality swatches, embellishment qualities and colour palettes

• Lab Dip/Strike off/PP Sample approvals

• Organise requested samples

• Coordinating Ad samples

• Checking packaging submissions

• Monitor production in China, answering any style queries & inform China of production quality standards with regards to prints/design/structure of garments

• Sample, fabric and library maintenance

• Approval of shipment samples

  To be considered for this role you must have: 

• Minimum 2-3 year experience in design or fashion/textile industry

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent time management and organisational skills.

• Attention to detail.

• Tertiary qualifications in Textile Design

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator is a must

• Strong Interest in fashion
