The Company and the Role
Agersens is launching a new, innovative product targeted at beef and dairy industries worldwide. This dynamic, ground-breaking startup is leading the way in AgTech IoT and aims to become the new industry leader in livestock automation.

Our current applications include a broad range of features, from record-keeping and mapping to data analytics and visualisations. Some key aspects of the role:
- Reporting to the Software Engineering Manager
- Located in Camberwell, Melbourne
- Long term role for the right person to grow with the business
Key Responsibilities
- Testing, reviewing and improving existing user interface designs
- Storyboarding, wireframing and prototyping new features and UIs
- Liaising with customers, partners, developers, data analysts and animal behavioural scientists to workshop and define user requirements
- Owning and developing the Agersens Design System
- Monitoring and implementing new design trends

Skills and Experience
- 3+ years’ experience in a digital UX/UI design role in web and mobile projects
- Knowledge of design methodologies, e.g. Lean UX, Design Thinking
- Wireframing and user workflow experience in Sketch, InVision or similar
- Experience with an established Design System or UI framework
- A positive personality and an appetite to learn more about design and UX
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Additional Desirable Attributes
- Agricultural or livestock industry experience (e.g. farming background) or experience designing for users in this industry
- Portfolio of designs and past projects
- Knowledge of modern front-end technologies, such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Experience with a JavaScript framework, e.g. Angular, React
- Experience working in an Agile environment with relevant tools, e.g. Jira/Confluence
