An opportunity has emerged for an experienced Industrial Design professional to lead a mid-size design team at our Sydney studio.

We are a highly recognised design and production agency specialising in POP and POS design, development, product design and manufacturing for some of the biggest brands in retail. We strive to provide innovative and creative solutions to ensure our client’s needs are met and are also distinguished from the rest.   

You must be a creative and inspiring leader who is ready and willing to provide ongoing support to your team, guiding them through the design process right through to production and delivery, ensuring all project outcomes are met on time and on budget.

The Role includes, but is not limited to:

• Lead a medium sized team of industrial designers through all stages of design, development, production and delivery of a project
• Be a personable and hands on design leader to assist in managing the work flow and day to day deliverables of the studio
• Maintain effective internal processes and office procedures within your team
• Responsible for a few key large scale/high value projects right through from concept presentation, detailing, production, QC to delivery
• Report to the creative director and liaise with our innovations team to prioritise and set goals for your team

Skills and Experience:

• The successful candidate will hold a tertiary qualification in Industrial Design
• Proficient in the Adobe Suite, Solidworks 2018 and Microsoft office suite
• Current Senior Designer looking for the next step with experience as a strong leader with the ability to drive and motivate the design team
• Display a proactive and hardworking attitude, with a hands on approach to problem solving requiring thinking outside the box to generate solid engineering solutions
• Ability to work under pressure with excellent time management skills across your own work load and that of your team
• A mature and professional approach to both internal and external communication
• Exceptional written, sketching and presentation skills
• Broad knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes
• Strong attention to detail, passionate about design and design thinking
