The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive and experienced individual to join DesignInc Sydney as BIM Model Manager to facilitate the BIM use goals of the projects.
We are on the look-out for a high calibre applicant who is not only talented but also enjoy a dynamic, progressive, challenging and fun workplace.
Reporting to the BIM Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Setting up models and project coordinates (ISG/MGA) & (True North/MGA North/Project North)
- Facilitate the use and manage the version controls of BEXP/DEXP
- Management, monitoring and maintenance of model files
- Validate the levels of development, content and naming, numbering & references for the model
- Assist in the implementation of BIM Standards in the project
- Perform “Health checks/Audits” on models at every milestone
You will have at least 5 years’ industry experience in architectural documentation and modelling plus a minimum of 2 years' experience in model management. This role requires proven and advanced Revit skills (Revit 2018 is desirable) with working knowledge of AutoCAD, Navisworks and plugins such as Ideate BIM Link/Explorer. Experience in Rhino/Dynamo is highly desirable.
We are recruiting for a 'hands on' role and need a self-starter with a positive attitude to take on each new task, no matter how big or small.
In addition to the above, to be successful in the role you will have/be:
- Sound understanding of building components and validating data
- Experience working with Shared parameter files and maintaining Material Libraries in Revit
- Proven experience in reviewing manufactures content library and validating them against company BIM Standards
- Excellent eye for detail
- Enthusiastic with a positive attitude
- Approachable with strong organisation and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and engage with and build relationships with internal stakeholders across all levels
