Lorna Jane inspires women across the globe to be the best version of themselves, and that’s exactly what you’ll be doing as a part of the Design and Production team! We are currently on the hunt for our newest Garment Technician to join our iconic and award winning design team.

The Position:

• Ensuring tech packs are correct to design specifications
• Developing Bill of Materials for each Lorna Jane style to ensure all components are itemised correctly.
• Compliance and prior knowledge of Australian and USA regulations.
• Ensuring technical drawings are correct and contain all relevant information.
• Inspection and quality control of production samples, shipping samples and bulk production.
• Drive bi-weekly fittings with Model, Creative Director, Quality Manager and Designers.
• Provide recommendations to resolve potential measurement, fit or quality issues.
• Communicate with manufacturer of any changes, approvals or updates after fitting.
• Ensure all products have relevant and necessary labelling.
• Liaise daily with internal departments and off-shore suppliers to ensure deadlines are met.
• Communicate on all sampling and trims to supplier in a timely manner.
• Work closely with the Production Manager to ensure production runs to schedule.
• Ensure shipping samples are received on time and deliveries arrive on time and meet specifications.

About You:

• Diploma in Fashion Design/ Degree in Creative Industries or equivalent.
• 2-3 years’ minimum experience working within the fashion industry in a similar role.
• Knowledge of pattern making, grading, garment construction methods and technical procedures and processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Illustrator.
• High level of attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Efficient, results focused, with an ability to anticipate problems and provide solutions and/or alternatives.
