A medium sized boutique practice in north Sydney are looking for a Senior Design Architect with strong design skills to help with strategic growth of the business. They have strong performance in the commercial and residential sectors mainly on hotels, serviced apartments and high rise accommodation..

You would work closely with the director to prepare very front end concepts and schemes. You would need to take detailed client briefs and have the ability to come up with buildable ideas and early concept schematic designs using the old fashion way of sketch drawing.

The successful candidate will have detailed understanding of projects staging from concept design, DA through to construction, documentation and project delivery. Project experience on multi-unit residential and mixed use design is a must, and commercial/industrial projects would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with the directors to come up with early concep designs for commerical and residential high rise buildings
• Meeting clients to take initial breif
• Managing a team of architects in the hotels team
• Detailed design, feasibility studies and DA submission
