A rare opportunity has arisen for a Senior Patternmaker to join an established team. The Veronika Maine brand celebrates The Art of Fashion. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly creative team, responsible for delivering a product renowned for its technical innovation and high quality finishes.
The role in detail..
Reporting to the Design Room Manager and in consultation with the Design Team your role will encompass creating patterns from the design sketches, along with fittings and alterations to produce finished garments. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Identifying size specifications for new styles
- Pattern making of garments through Style Cad
- Measuring and fitting garments on a fit model/fit mannequin, amending size specifications as needed
- Liaising with production
- Approving garment trims, labeling, thread and fusing
What is needed for this role..
To succeed in this role, you must have tertiary qualifications in Fashion or Textiles, be proficient in the use of Style Cad, have industry experience of at least 6 years and have had exposure to working with China. A positive attitude along with a love of fashion and creative flair are essential, as is your ability to cope within a high pressure and fast paced environment. Prior team management experience will be highly regarded.
