We are actively seeking several Garment Technologists to join our vibrant and growing team. - Tertiary qualification in fashion/construction
- Minimum of 2 years of experience
- Strong garment construction knowledge
- Some pattern making knowledge
- Grading experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator or similar drawing packages
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Time management to ensure critical tasks are addressed as a priority
- Highly organised, pro-active
Key accountabilities and responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Being the pivotal communication between our internal account manager, the clients, and the factories overseas. Working closely with all departments to maintain consistency and high standards across product ranges
- Creation of technical packs and specification sheets from design sketches, images or samples
- Attend weekly fit meetings to ensure products are meeting the client's requirements and making suggestions to improve any fit issues
- Updating spec sheets with construction comments accurately, keeping the critical path for every product up-to-date
- Completing and approving all graded spec sheets
- Ensure products developed are fit for purpose and adhere to all quality assurance benchmarks including consistency of sizing and standard of construction set by our clients
- Daily communication with factories, ensuring all samples, sealers and shippers are delivered on time and to spec
- Maintain and monitor product quality and ensure bulk testing is performed as required and recorded appropriately
- Making suggestions to improve processes within the team
- Keeping the internal product tracking software up to date and accurate
- Making suggestion to customers in terms of styles and ranges
