The UWA Student Guild aims to continually improve the “student experience” and has provided services for UWA Students since 1913. Providing relevant, high quality support to UWA students, whilst remaining financially, environmentally and socially conscious, we are regarded as a benchmark for Guilds nationwide.

A unique opportunity exists within the Student Services and Finance teams of the Guild for TWO enthusiastic and motivated customer focused individuals to job share front counter and accounts duties. The role is split as follows:

Job Share Role 1:  8:00am to 1:00pm   Monday to Friday   

Job Share Role 2:  12:00pm to 5:00pm Monday to Friday

The roles being offered are initially on a fixed term contract basis for 12 months with the potential of converting to permanent at the end of the initial contract period.

Duties undertaken include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing front counter enquiries/visitors
  • Processing accounts for payment, including petty cash management
  • Liaise with debtors and creditors
  • Facilitate access by clients to support services such as emergency loans and access to counselling services
  • General administration duties as required

The successful candidates will possess the following:

  • Exceptional customer service experience and skills
  • Strong administration skills including attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Outstanding organisational and time management skills are a must
  • Positive work place attitude and approachability
