About the business
Analytical Laboratories and Testing Servicers Australia (ALTSA) Pty Ltd is new venture commencing with government funding and private sector investments. Situated in Tri-State region Mildura where VIC, NWS and SA meet & one of major horticultural regions in Australia.
ALTSA will be using infrastructure build by CSIRO up to the world-class standard over several decades. ALTSA will be one of Australia's largest laboratory complexes in Agriculture and Environment sector facilitating various analytical Asia Pacific region.
Analytical Laboratories and Testing Servicers Australia (ALTSA) Pty Ltd will be operated as 4 independent but interconnected laboratories.
- Laboratory complex for various plant tissue and soil nutrient analysis
- Environment, water & chemical testing laboratory complex
- Wine sciences & colour testing laboratory complex
- Pest, disease, agronomy and microbiological laboratory complex
About the role
We have an outstanding opportunity for a corporate Administrative Assistant to be the first point of contact for both internal & external clients and business partners. The role will be reporting to the interim Project Manager and will involve face- to-face client liaison, answering and directing of queries and day-to-day administration tasks to facilitate the smooth operations of business units. Working as part of a vibrant team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the technical & management teams;
Includes but not limited to
- First point of contact - face to face client liaison; answering and directing of incoming calls
- Reporting and updating of systems
- Handling and allocating mail incoming and outgoing
- Banking and reconciliations
Maintaining office such as boardroom maintenance - Stationary orders, directing of couriers, catering
- General ad hoc Administration
- Preparing accounts payable
- Managing accounts receivable
- Invoicing clients
- Payroll for employees & contract workers
- Preparation of weekly time sheets

Skills and experience
Required
- Diploma or degree in relevant field
- 3 years + Experiences in a similar role
Beneficial

- Exceptional communication & interpersonal skills; Ability to multi task and handle high volume of workload
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills; Intermediate to advanced experiences with computer-based calculations, documentation and Emails
- Proven ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team / Proven ability to collect and analyse information and resolve problems.
- Previous experience in a similar role may be beneficial but not necessary
- Positive, self-motivated, with a resilient personality
