The role

To provide outstanding customer service to both existing and prospective customers and to execute commercial requirements for the business unit. This role would be responsible for handling customer and salesman orders, requests, queries and complaints in a timely manner consistent with our service and quality standards. 

This is a part time role (28 hours) a week based in Mulgrave for a period of 12 months with a possible extension until December 2019.

Areas of responsibility

  • Call handling & general enquiries (stock availability, order/delivery queries – POD’s).
  • Updating customer accounts (contact details, discount structures, price changes).
  • Processing orders (special and standards), returns, credits & debits.
  • Raising quotations.
  • Receipting deliveries and acknowledging supplier orders.
  • Handling service requests (recycling, reconditioning & regrinding).
  • Handling customer complaints via Sandvik Coromant’s tool complaint handling system.
  • Trouble shooting with accounts receivables & payables.
  • Approving and coding invoices.
  • Exporting/Importing international orders (Customs & Shipping documentation).

Your profile

You will have a minimum of two years’ experience in a customer service role working with an ERP system, SAP would be helpful. You will have a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and ISO 9001 (Quality Management System). You will be able to plan and work in a structured and organized manner and can multi-task, prioritize and manage your own time effectively.  You would have strong presentation skills and feel confident building strong working relationships and communicating with internal and external partners
