About The Company 

Operating for over 15 years, our client are a Chartered Accountancy practice who help their clients with specific financial requirements. Their services include preparing and lodging income tax returns, preparing financial statements and business activity statements, auditing and setting up trusts, companies, partnerships and self-managed superannuation funds.

About The Opportunity

They are now looking for a Junior Administration & Accounts Assistant to join their company in Hornsby, NSW. 

The primary purpose of this position is to help with various administrative duties and be trained in bookkeeping, submitting tax returns and in various accounting tasks.

Reporting directly to Business Owners and Senior Staff some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Answer all incoming telephone calls and greet clients on arrival 
  • Assist with preparing clients' financial statements, income tax return and IAS/BAS statements 
  • Work closely with the partners and senior staff to build accountancy knowledge 
  • Attend to emails and liaise with the ATO over the phone on a regular basis 
  • General office duties including scanning & filing documents, mail management, ordering stationery etc. 
About You 

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience in a similar role. Additionally, you will have a strong level of computer literacy and have experience with the Microsoft Office Suite as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

This position would suit someone studying relevant qualifications at University or TAFE who has an interest in building a career in accounting and bookkeeping.
