Please be aware, due to Government funding this is a contract role until December 2018.

The Education Support Officer is responsible for the provision of support within the Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) Program Team in the delivery of education and training program activities as they relate to General Practice registrars in South Australia.

This role will be responsible for supporting a range of activities that are delivered either across South Australia or within an assigned region(s).  Duties will include:

  • Provide high-quality support related to the delivery of the training program and associated activities by telephone, email or in person, to registrars, general practices, supervisors and medical educators.  
  • Arrange and coordinate education and training workshops and functions including Registrar, Practice Manager and Supervisor Workshops, clinical attachments, small tutorial group meetings, and clinical simulation training activities.
  • Assist with the development and delivery of the GPEx workshop program, teaching visits and a range of educational activities.
  • Maintain regular contact with registrars, supervisors and practice managers to ensure they have continued and up to date access to online resources.
  • Website content management including the review and upload of documents relating to Education Operations activities.
  • Co-ordinate meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

Administration skills required for this role:

  • Data entry and maintenance of accurate records into the GPEx database, ensuring records comply with GPEx and Department of Health quality standards.
  • Meeting minutes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite, including basic formula's on Excel, good document formatting and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of mail merge.
  • Highly organised, flexible and detailed.
  • General administration support for Program Training Advisor(s) and Manager AGPT(s).
