Bookkeeper + Office Manager + PA role: Dynamic Design Company, North Sydney.

GMU, Architecture and Urban Design

GMU is a leading urban design and architecture firm in Sydney. We provide design, advisory and expert court services to Government and the development industry. 

We seek a motivated, enthusiastic person to join our team in our North Sydney office. 

We offer a pivotal and varied role within the office providing day to day bookkeeping, financial and HR skills but also involved in preparing bids and submissions, fee proposals, client liaison, IT and printed marketing and working closely with the Managing Director. The role is ideally full time or minimum 4 days per week. 

As a progressive practice we welcome someone looking to broaden their experience and skills. 

So what will you be responsible for?

  • Accounts receivable and payable
  • Managing ordering and payment of office supplies
  • Liaison with our IT manager 
  • Assisting with bid, tender proposals and preparation of fee proposals and invoices
  • Providing monthly reports and information as required
  • Working with management on customer fee collection
  • BAS, Tax and ATO requirements
  • Payroll, bank account management and reconciliation requirements 
  • General HR staff administration duties 
  • General administrative duties 
  • Office Management
  • Assisting with managing the Website and marketing materials 
  • Closely working with and assistant to the Managing Director 

 

To be successful you are: 

  • Energetic, enthusiastic & flexible in your work practices
  • Have strong organisational skills, nothing gets past you!
  • Can demonstrate proficiency with MYOB, Xero and accounting concepts including liaison with accountants
  • Up to date knowledge of ATO and Superannuation requirements
  • Qualifications in accounting or business administration. 
  • Excellent knowledge of general accounting principles. 
  • Attention to detail and accuracy of work.
  • Able to prepare, review and understand a financial statement.
  • An interest in technology and knowledge of ETrack software desirable 
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Sound Australian experience providing bookkeeping in a commercial environment 
  • Strong attention to detail
