Gawler River Produce has been established since 1993, we are growing and packers of washed potatoes.
Gawler River Produce is looking for an experienced sale/logistic administration officer to join the operation at the Ward Belt Packing Shed SA area.
We offer a challenging role for the right candidate and your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Reporting to Sales team any changes in product quality,
- Good level of communication, appropriate phone manner,
- All data entry in the invoice system,
- Control Chep and Viscount equipment that are needed for packing ordering/transferring,
- Calculate and book all freight on specified transport companies,
- Sound understanding of product being processed making sure each line meets customer needs,
- Coordinate loads to wash for the day/knowledge of order timeslots,
- Daily stock count of produce, chase up any queries from freight companies/customers and work out best possible way to solve problems,
- Update daily orders forthwith and inform appropriate staff,
- Calculate amount of tonnage needed for next day production,
- Book loads with growers and book appropriate transport,
Specific Duties:
- Answering phone sale and logistics enquiries,
- Computer data entry and Communicating in the workplace, Invoicing, Chep Controller,
- Transport Organisation, Learning the produce, Stock count, Problem Solving,
- Coordinating/Updating Orders, General packing knowledge/Coordinating Production and Prepack,
- Planning Loads for production, Daily Sales/Customer Alliance and other duties as directed.
- Knowledge of taking orders or selling a product at best profit possible, communicating with a list of merchants regarding all possible potato products and varieties,
This position is to start ASAP and it requires a person that can think on their feet and be proactive and be able to prioritise own workload.
